Elements Surrey for a Coquitlam night out

Elements Casino Surrey is 14.9 km from United Boulevard as the crow flies. It has a smaller floor, no poker room, a racetrack past and a change of ownership still waiting on approvals.

The casino in a few lines

Elements Casino Surrey sits at 17755 60 Avenue, in Surrey. It opened in November 2005. Great Canadian Entertainment runs it and still lists it among its casinos as of October 2026.

From Coquitlam it is 19.6 km from City Centre and 14.9 km from the United Boulevard casino, both in a straight line. For the actual route, TransLink's trip planner or a map will give you the way.

The casino used to sit beside the Fraser Downs harness racing track. The track closed on August 15, 2025, when the City of Surrey ended its lease. The racing surface was torn up in September 2025 and the barns were demolished in December 2025. The casino was not part of that lease and kept running.

A sale is in the works. Great Canadian signed a deal on March 9, 2026 to sell the casino to SE-MI-AH-MU Development Corporation, of Semiahmoo First Nation. Both regulators and the City of Surrey, as owner of the land, must approve the deal. Trade press reported it had not closed as of mid-June 2026, and the flyer has seen no closing announcement since.

Getting in

The minimum age is 19. Guests of every age at any BC casino must show government-issued photo ID when they arrive. The rule dates from June 26, 2023. Security scans each ID and checks it against the restricted-entry list, and Game Break enrollees are on that list. No personal information kept for anyone allowed in.

Bring the original card. Photos and copies are not accepted. A driver's licence, BC Services Card, BCID or passport all work. The first visit page has the longer list.

On the floor

Great Canadian describes over 500 slots and electronic tables, plus 10 live table games. The live tables listed for Surrey are:

  • Blackjack: two Table Bet tables and one Low Limit table
  • Ultimate Texas Hold'em: three tables
  • Four Card Poker: one table
  • Baccarat: one Ruyi table and one Squeeze Ruyi table
  • Roulette: one table

The Action Arena, found only at this Elements location, adds electronic roulette and baccarat, some on live wheels and tables and some virtual, plus a virtual Ultimate Texas Hold'em.

There is no poker room. Both games, Four Card Poker and Ultimate Texas Hold'em, pit players against the house. Encore Rewards cards work here, as at the other BC casinos.

The casino keeps 10 a.m. to 4 a.m. hours Monday through Thursday. From Friday to Sunday, it never closes.

Live tables keep shorter hours. From Sunday to Thursday they run from 10 a.m. to 1 a.m., and on Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 a.m. Questions go to 604-576-9141.

Food, drink and the rest

The buffet restaurant has terrace-style seating, floor-to-ceiling windows and an all-you-can-eat buffet on weekends. Foodies covers casual meals. Elements Bar welcomes guests on Friday and Saturday nights.

There is comedy and live music every week.

For groups, the Dragon Lounge holds up to 220 for a reception or 160 seated, and the Homestretch holds up to 350.

Compared with United Boulevard

Here is how the two line up, using only what each venue publishes. Details for the Coquitlam casino are on the casino page.

In short, Elements is the smaller room. If you play poker or like the tables late on a weeknight, United Boulevard covers more. If a comedy night or a weekend buffet is the plan, Elements is a fair change of scene.

Before you go

Check the official Elements Casino page for current hours and events. That page is shared with other locations, so look for items marked Surrey. It still carries a simulcast racing lineup, but the latest calendar linked there is for April 2026, so call ahead if racing is the reason for your trip.

Set your limit before you leave home. Every BC casino has a GameSense Info Centre. Gambling Support BC costs nothing and picks up 24/7 at 1-888-795-6111, and the gambling support page has more. To weigh other options, see all nine casinos.
