Nine casinos, one region
The flyer covers nine casinos across Metro Vancouver and gives each one its own page. Closest to home is Great Canadian Casino Vancouver on United Boulevard in Coquitlam.
The others are Grand Villa Casino Burnaby, Starlight Casino New Westminster, Hastings Casino in Vancouver and Elements Casino Surrey. Then come Cascades Casino Langley, Parq Casino in Vancouver, River Rock Casino Resort in Richmond and Cascades Casino Delta.
The distances in the list above are straight lines from Coquitlam City Centre. Road distance and travel time are usually longer.
Picking one from Coquitlam
Hours: Grand Villa, Starlight, Cascades Langley and Parq are open around the clock. Three casinos are not. Hastings Casino and Cascades Casino Delta both open 11 a.m. to midnight from Sunday to Thursday. On Friday and Saturday they stay open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. At Delta, live tables open only in the afternoon.
Elements Casino Surrey is open 10 a.m. to 4 a.m. on Monday to Thursday, and 24 hours from Friday to Sunday. At Great Canadian Casino Vancouver and River Rock, the live tables run 10 a.m. to 4 a.m. on Monday to Thursday. They open Friday at 10 a.m. and don't stop until 4 a.m. on Monday.
Poker: Six casinos have a poker room. United Boulevard and River Rock each have 10 tables, and Starlight has seven. The Cascades Langley room has six tables and opens at 10 a.m. daily. The Grand Villa room runs 24 hours every day, and Parq's Level 3 room is also open 24/7. Hastings, Elements Surrey and Delta have no poker room.
Parking: Grand Villa and Starlight offer complimentary parking, and parking on United Boulevard is free. Parq Casino has paid, pay-by-plate parking. Encore Rewards members who earn at least 15 points while playing park there for free.
River Rock has no published self-parking price for casino visitors.
Owners: Great Canadian Casino Vancouver has been owned by Petroglyph Development Group (Snuneymuxw First Nation) since May 5, 2026. River Rock was sold on June 16, 2026 to a partnership of Petroglyph Development Group and Musqueam Capital Corp.
The casino portion of Hastings is going to Tsleil-Waututh Nation under a definitive agreement signed November 7, 2025. Elements Surrey is going to SE-MI-AH-MU Development Corporation (Semiahmoo First Nation) under an agreement dated March 9, 2026.
Racing: Great Canadian announced in December 2025 that it would stop running a racing season, which ended live thoroughbred racing at Hastings. The venue still publishes a monthly simulcast schedule. Fraser Downs, the harness track whose grandstand houses Elements Casino Surrey, closed on August 15, 2025. The casino itself carries on.
Same rules at every door
- Everyone must be 19 or older.
- Since June 26, 2023: government-issued photo ID required from everyone at the door. Bring the original card. Photos and copies are not accepted. Security staff scan the card and check it against a list of people barred from entry. No personal information kept for anyone allowed in.
- Smoking and vaping are banned indoors. They are also banned within 6 metres of doors, windows and air intakes.
- Casinos verify your identity once your buy-ins or payouts reach $3,000 in a day. Cash, bank draft or certified cheque buy-ins totalling $10,000 or more in 24 hours need a source-of-funds declaration. Since October 1, 2025, payouts over $10,000 are reported to FINTRAC.
The full list of accepted ID is on the first visit page.
One Game Break covers them all
BCLC's voluntary self-exclusion program goes by the name Game Break. Pick a term of 6 months, or else 1, 2 or 3 years. BCLC's April 2025 fact sheet says enrolling anywhere excludes you from all BC gambling facilities and PlayNow, so one enrolment covers all nine casinos.
Enrolment works three ways: in person at any casino, virtually with a GameSense Advisor, or on PlayNow. Call 1-866-815-0222 and press 3, 7 a.m. to midnight daily. For free, confidential help any time, call Gambling Support BC at 1-888-795-6111, 24/7. There is more on the gambling support page.
Check before you head out
Hours, parking and restaurants change, and some venues note that operating hours may change. Two casinos changed owners this year, so a quick look at the official site or a phone call is worth it. Each casino page in the flyer links to the official site and lists the phone number where the venue publishes one.
